Reading Suggestions

WE DIG SUMMER READING LOGO

Research suggests that reading with your child 15 - 30 minutes a day will improve your child's reading level.

We, at Fuller Meadow School, strongly believe in this research.... and what better way to spend some quality time together?!

Make the commitment to read daily together and make a world of difference in your child's reading success! What a gift to give your child!!!

heartRead to your child every day.
heartRead books repeatedly, exploring different aspects of the story.
heartBooks that have repetitions lend themself to inviting a child to "jump in." Invite them!
heartNew words are opportunities for vocabulary growth. Point them out!
heartAsk about the pictures and about what is happening in the story. Predict what may happen next.
heartExplore different types of children's books, including fairy tales, song books, poems, and information books.
