: There are many musical opportunites here at the Howe-Manning School. We currently offer two bands; a Beginning Band for fourth grade students and first year players and an Advanced Band for fifth and sixth graders or second and third year players. We also offer all students an opportunity to perform in a choral concert once each year. There is fourth, fifth and sixth grade chorus. All performances take place at the Masconomet Junior High auditorium with chorus performing at 6:30 p.m., instrumental ensembles at 7:30 p.m. Howe-Manning performing groups have already peformed for the Middleton Board of Trade, the annual radio-a-thon for Sen. Bruce Tarr in December, at the Middleton Senior Center, at the State House in Boston, and for the Town of Middleton Memorial Day Parade and Chief Wills Day parade. NEW this year! Up-coming performances: April 16, 2009 Fifth Grade Chorus, Beginning Band and Advanced Band will present their first performance of the year at the Masconomet Junior High Auditorium. 6:30 Fifth Grade Chorus 7:30 Beginning Band and Advanced Band Ms. Colby's Fifth Grade Chorus will be singing a wide variety of songs including J'Entends Le Moulin in french, Grandma Grunts, Ritsch Ratsch, Scotland's Burning and more. The Beginning Band conducted by Ms. Colby and Mr. Gallant will be playing some of their favorite pieces including Chitty, Chitty Bang, Bang and Ode to Joy. The new Accelerated Clarinet and Trumpet classes hope to be joining us! Mr. Repucci's Advanced Band has been working hard on the Can Can, Great Gate of Kiev, Popcorn Prelude and Do Re Mi. Concert specifics for performers will be sent home via the Friday school bulletin.
