                              New Friends

                 This morning, when

                 I started school,

                 I met a girl

                 named Betty Lou

                 and she met me-

                 That made us two.

           

                 Then, both of us

                  met Anne Marie-

                  And that made three.

                  Then, Paul came running

                  through the door-

                  Now, the three of us

                  are four-

                  And I can't wait to meet some

                  more!

Welcome to second grade!

Homework:

  • Homework sheets are sent home each Monday.
  • Students are expected to read for at least 10 minutes every night.
  • Students need to study their math facts for at least 5 minutes each night.
  • Completed Homework Sheets are due on Friday. Book titles should be written with correct capitalization and spelling -by the students.

Classroom Policies:

  • The best way to contact me is with a written note.
  • For phone messages my mailbox extension is #651.
  • Please note that students begin entering the building at 8:30 and lessons begin promptly at 8:45.
  • If you drive your child to school please try to have your child here at 8:30. This ensures that your child will have enough time to settle in and get organized for his/her day.
  • Please send a small snack each day. One drink and one snack are plenty for this short break.
