Principal Message
Michelle M. Fitzpatrick

The staff and I warmly welcome you to the Howe-Manning School.

The mission of the Howe-Manning School in cooperation with family and community are to instill the joy of learning in all students, to promote academic excellence, to be supportive of children’s social and emotional needs and to constantly strive for improvement in these areas.

The Howe-Manning School is named after two very dedicated teachers Miss Nellie C. Howe and Miss C. Alice Manning. Miss Howe began teaching in Middleton in 1891. Miss Manning started teaching in 1903 and ended her teaching career in 1951 as the principal of the Howe-Manning School.

The Howe-Manning School was originally built in 1937 as a WPA project. In 1951 an addition was built to provide a gymnasium and classrooms. In 1957 additional classrooms and a kitchen was added to the building.

I am both very approachable and reachable. Please don’t hesitate to call me if you have any issues or questions. You can contact me at Howe-Manning (978)774-3519, home (978) 687-8001 (please leave message) or on my cell phone (978) 204-2135 (please don’t leave a message).
